Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and FREEOCLOCK LIMITED, Hong Kong ("we", "us"), for using the Insightube Chrome extension and website (together, "Insightube"). By installing Insightube or signing in, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Insightube.

1. What Insightube does

Insightube shows transcripts of YouTube videos and, when you ask, creates AI summaries, insights, speaker viewpoints and translations of them. Insightube is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.

2. Your account

• AI features need a Google sign-in. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services where you live.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account.

3. Free plan and Insightube Pro

• Free: transcripts, plus 3 AI summaries a week for videos up to 30 minutes.
• Pro: unlimited AI summaries (subject to fair use, below), summary translation and videos of any length. US$4.99 a month or US$29.99 a year, plus any tax that applies where you live.
• Renewal: Pro renews automatically at the end of each month or year, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. If we ever change the price, we'll tell you before it applies to your next renewal.
• Cancelling: cancel any time in Settings → Manage subscription. Pro stays on until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Refunds: if Pro isn't right for you, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. After that, payments aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

4. Fair use

Pro is meant for one person's own use. To keep the service fast and affordable for everyone, a daily limit applies (currently 50 summaries and 200 translations a day), which normal use won't reach. Don't use Insightube to collect transcripts or summaries in bulk, resell them, run it automatically, get around its limits, or interfere with the service or other people's use of it. We may suspend accounts that do.

5. Videos and AI results

• Videos, captions and transcripts belong to their creators. Insightube helps you understand videos you're watching; you're responsible for how you use what it shows you, including respecting copyright and YouTube's terms.
• Summaries, insights and translations are written by AI. They can be incomplete or wrong and can misstate what a speaker said. Check the video before relying on them, and don't use them as professional, medical, legal or financial advice.
• The summaries you create are yours to use. They're saved in your browser, not on our servers.

6. Changes and availability

Insightube depends on YouTube's captions and on AI providers, so features may change, be limited or stop working at times. We try to keep Insightube running well but don't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we make significant changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and tell signed-in users before the changes apply.

7. Liability

Insightube is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law.

8. Ending use

You can stop using Insightube at any time by removing the extension and deleting your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms; if we close a paid account without a breach on your part, we'll refund the unused part of your subscription.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without affecting consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
